“I have been training with Ian Waddell at Body Vision twice a week for about 4 years now. I would not have stayed with him for so long if he did not continuously hold my interest with his knowledge, enthusiastic support and varied routines to maintain my overall fitness and suppleness. During the period of this training I discovered that I had an aorta valve problem. Ian kept adjusting my training routine to cope with the slowly deteriorating situation. Then earlier this year my aorta valve was replaced. This was followed by three emergency operations each of which required my chest to be re-opened. The surgeon said quite unambiguously that it was my fitness that enabled me to pull through. I must give Ian full recognition for his ongoing efforts in achieving this state.
Post-operative Ian has been slowly building me up to get back to my pre-operation condition. I am already doing 10 Km walking road races and with his coaching look forward to doing the 2010 Two Oceans Half Marathon.”
