Benefits of Kinesiology

Kinesiology does not seek simply to alleviate symptoms. True health is not just absence of disease - it is consistent energy, mental clarity, resistance to stress, freedom from infection, emotional stability, good physical stamina, as well as the absence of disease. The symptom is NOT the problem but merely a "messenger", communicating that imbalances are present.

Kinesiology can help you if you are experiencing any of the following "messengers"/symptoms:

  • Headaches/migraines

  • Depression

  • Learning difficulties

  • Recurrent infections

  • Fatigue syndromes

  • and more!

  • Have found solutions where none existed before

  • Empowering of self

  • Integration of facets of self

Specialised Kinesiologist do NOT:
  • Claim to heal - only your body can do that, just as it heals a broken bone or a cut. Kinesiology accelerates the healing process.

  • Diagnose, treat, or suggest that you go off any prescribed medication - we acknowledge the symptom and work towards solutions

  • Work with illness as that would be treating the symptom - we believe that we can assist in improving your quality of life and so "re-educate" your body and your self

  • Interfere with your faith or religious beliefs - we are trained to work within the realm of your belief system to best assist you to find solutions

  • Make predictions

"Being a mildly experienced runner (having completed just two marathons), I got ahead of myself in training for my first multi-day event in September, being 112km's in 3 days.  I picked up some serious ITB problems and hobbled through the event.  Keen to tackle the next event properly, I contacted Ian who suggested I come to him sooner rather than later in order to deal with the ITB, and put a training program together.  The kineisology balancing resulted in a wedge in my shoe and no further ITB problems to date.  The training program is on course to take on the next event fit and injury free."

"Working with you in the balancing sessions has brings me clarity and a sense of better being able to deal with what is happening within me and around me - my head and heart space to be able to understand from a place of peace - which is what I get when coming to the sessions.  I am able to move forward in the knowing that all is as it should be, and having the affirmations and goals that we set-up truly assists me and keeps me focused and in balance.  Your energy and gentle wisdom always brings an insight and a different way of looking at an issue.  Thank you."

"I have been for treatments with Ian and found that his approach and knowledge of kinesiology was of a high standard.  His ability to explain the concept and talk you through the sessions is done in a way to make you feel relaxed and fills you with knowledge and understanding on how various aspects of our busy lives effects in ways that we have no idea.I have recommended clients to Ian and will have treatments from him in the future.  It is great to see a male in this field that has so much understanding"

"I have being suffering from shin splints for a while, to the point where they are so painful I am barely able to walk after a run. I got to a place where I actually thought about giving up running! I see Ian twice a week for personal training, and he offered to treat my splints. After 3 sessions with him, of deep massaging/treatment for after,  and recommending that I replace my running shoes (I was not wearing the correct ones), I can officially say I have had no further pain! I run about 3 times a week, about 5 to 10 km’s and I did a 10km on Saturday, 04/12 out at Lourensford Wine Estate (off road), where I pushed myself much harder, and attempted a rather steep hill, and my shins were absolutely fine! In fact, my legs actually felt a lot stronger. I can definitely recommend Ian’s treatment to any runner/sportsman who suffer from shin splints. Once again Ian, thank you very much! I am now a happy runner :)"

“Ian has added to his quiver of competencies with Posture Therapy balancing.  For a number of months now he has been doing posture therapy balancing as part of my gym routine, adjusting the wedges in my shoes as necessary.  This balancing and adjustment of the wedges has been very beneficial in reducing the incidence and severity of the pain on the inside of my knees (i.e. not ITB) and the small of my back, particularly after participating in road races.”
